9th Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) world conference

Welcome to the 9th Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) world conference! Ecosystem Services for Eco-civilization: Restoring connections between people and landscapes through nature-based solutions is chosen as this year's theme.

The ESP9 world conference was organised in Shenzhen, China from 11-15 December 2017. China has a rapidly expanding community of scientists publishing innovative ecosystem services work in international journals, and a growing number of policy-makers and practitioners. This conference aimed to bring both the national and international ecosystem services community together to achieve a more sustainable and eco-friendly society.

The program contained a broad range of topics on the latest state-of-the-art on the science, policy and practice of ecosystem services. Conference keynotes covered diverse aspect of the overarching theme. Sessions were determined by the participants and provided ample space for the many ESP Working Groups, National Networks and service teams to get together and bring the science, policy and practice further.

This conference was jointly organised by SUSTech and ESP in collaboration with Tsinghua University and SERB. The selected venue for this conference was Kylin Villa Shenzhen, China.

Announcements

Conference proceedings

• Certificates: those who indicated the need for a certificate, will be provided with a digital certificate before the end of the year, 29th December at the latest.

• Presentations: powerpoints which have been provided to us on USB's will be converted into PDF's and made available on our website in January.

• Invoices: if you've send us a questions regarding an amendment of your invoice, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

• Photos: conference photos will be made available here as soon as possible.

Poster prize winners

• The title of session B2b is Urban surface waters: ecosystem services, nature-based approaches and urban regenaration.

• The session program of session T8 changed.
